Soor

Soor is a band from "Laayoune" in the south of Morocco, the band has been running since 2004, its starting line up was made of: Yahya ZINI (rhythmic guitar & vocals), Mahfoud JANADI (Drums), Abdessalam KADIRI lead guitar) & Salah KOURRAD (bass), that was the “UPSIDE DOWN” period.

Abdesslam left the band by the end of 2004 because "he was more into black metal than any other kind of metal which made the gap between him and the members of the band huge" and then formed his own band in "Casablanca".

Whereas Salah had to move to another city! Meanwhile, Yahya & Mahfoud started writing their own songs instead of playing covers which demanded developing a style and improving skills, thus, Mahfoud started playing guitar and made an amazing progress in few months; he showed an exquite talent regarding solos. Accompanied with support from Rapper & song writer Ibrahim KANE, new vast horizons of creativity have been opened to Soor In 2008, the band's all time friend Mourad Khorais became their bassist.

Soor's history is full of varying happenings: changes, ups and downs and continuous creativity, but if there is something the band is eagerly looking forward to, it would undoubtedly be the future.
